ANTECEDENTS 
The Ecuador Volunteer Foundation is a Non Profit Organization, destined to support the development of volunteer programs in Ecuador, with the objective to give help to the sectors with the most needs in different areas like social, educative, environmental and communitarian, through the action and voluntary participation.
ARTICLE 1
Volunteers maintain insurances by themselves. Ecuador Volunteer is exempt of all legal or financial responsibility, in respect of possible accidents or illnesses, physical or mental, that may occur to volunteers during their stay in Ecuador. In the same way, the foundation will not be responsible for possible robberies of volunteer's property that may resort with legal action. 
ARTICLE 2
1. The inscription fee is not refundable.
2. In the case that the volunteer finish the program before her/his volunteer time applied, the money of the payment won't be refundable.
3. If the volunteer decides to change his system of accommodation in the project (Host family or hostels), Ecuador Volunteer will not return any money and any change will be under the responsibility of the volunteer.
ARTICLE 3
1. During the volunteers stay in the projects, community lodges and families, the volunteer will agree to respect the way of life of the members. 
2. The volunteers will need to work a minimum of time, planned by the project.
3. The volunteers must participate in all the activities and workshops of the project.
ARTICLE 4
1. Ecuador Volunteer is not responsible for: the public transport use to the community and either of any accident caused by the transport. This must be dealt directly with the cooperative or the public transport line. 
2. If an accident prevents from the well-being of the volunteer, Ecuador Volunteer will help and support any legal action that the volunteer wants to take against the company.
ARTICLE 5
1. Ecuador Volunteer is exclusively responsible for the arrangement of housing, information, orientation for the volunteers before they begin their volunteer work and coordination with their corresponding volunteer project.
2. Each project, organization and foundation has a director or coordinator that is directly responsible for the volunteers work. Ecuador Volunteer does not have its own projects. For this reason we cannot intervene with the regulations, administration, or function of each project.
3. The people responsible for the volunteers are the same volunteers, coordinators, or directors for the projects. Ecuador Volunteer is not responsible for the volunteers while they are working in the projects.
4. Ecuador Volunteer is a network that receives many project applications from organizations that require volunteer help. We select the projects that need the most assistance and that present the most structured plan for the volunteers. We cannot guarantee a perfectly functioning project, but we try to select the best.
5. The responsibility of the volunteers within the project is to comply with the assigned functions given to them by the directors or coordinators of the project. If some sort of problem arises, it is the volunteer's responsibility to ask that their functions will be reassigned. 
6. If the volunteer wants to change his/her project, if the volunteer does not like the selected project, he/she should present and explain the reasons, and Ecuador Volunteer will present them with alternative projects that they can apply for.
