Teaching English in Quito |
|
|
Project Description
The Teaching English volunteer project takes place in several deprived schools located in the south and central parts of Quito which have very few economic resources. Volunteers will teach classes to primary school children between the ages of 5 and 12 years. Currently, there is only one teacher to teach 178 primary school children between the ages of 5 and 12 years. Thus, volunteers in the education sector are extremely important.
Why the projects need volunteers
Due to the scarce economic resources of these schools, the number of teachers in relation to students is extremely unbalanced. Therefore, the project needs volunteers to collaborate in the educational sector and lend continuity to the learning process.
