Long-Term Projects

For people interested in volunteering for an extended period of time, these long-term projects offer an excellent opportunity.  Volunteers with special skills and/or experience in specific areas can provide professional support in such a way that can prove extremely rewarding for the community and the volunteer in addition to helping strengthen the overall structure and sustainability of the project.  One of the advantages for the volunteer is that his/her accommodation and food expenses are partially or completely covered by local organizations, thus allowing the volunteer to concentrate all his/her efforts in establishing closer ties with local people and agencies on the ground.
