Fly For Good

Once you have been accepted into our Volunteer Program, Ecuador Volunteer can help you obtain a discount on your flight to Ecuador via the Fly For Good program. To take advantage of this discount, register online at http://www.flyforgood.com and search for flights to UIO (Quito’s airport code). You will need to call to book and apply the discount. We will send you our Foundation’s discount code once you are accepted, which you will need for the discount.

Since Fly For Good only works through some airlines, the discount may or may not be less than other airline companies. Nonetheless, it may be worth it to check!

Fundraising Support

Ecuador Volunteer encourages our volunteers to start fundraising campaigns to cover part or all of their volunteer and travel costs. Effective fundraising shares your cause and the reasons and goals that motivate you to volunteer abroad with your family, friends, and people from your own country. As a result, fundraising campaigns connects people from your home country with people in need here in Ecuador.

Ecuador Volunteer will support volunteers in their fundraising efforts as best we can by providing official documents, letters, posters, photos, videos, etc. to help you raise public funds. Volunteers can share stories and pictures of previous volunteers and of those you will directly impact through your work, whether it is the environment, children, families, etc.

One fundraising approach that has proven to be quite effective (and not time consuming) is to send email letters to family and friends. These letters explain what you are going to do during your project, the importance of volunteering for you (career growth, personal growth, travel opportunity, etc), the impact you will have on people in Ecuador (children, impoverished communities, the environment, animals, etc), and ask for any contribution to make this trip possible. Ecuador Volunteer can provide you with form letters that you can personalize.

You may be surprised by how many family members, friends, and people will be touched by your efforts and donate to your cause
