Before to apply

Before you apply, check out the steps that you follow for a step-by-step guide and make sure to review our general information

1. Once we receive your first e-mail we will immediately contact you with general information about us and projects.
2. Chose the project in which you would like to participate so that we can send you more detailed information.
3. Send your CV (Resume).
4. Participate in an interview by phone, msn or Skype.
5. Review a start date and length of project
6. You will receive an email from EV which confirm your participation and we will prepare for your trip to Ecuador.
7. You must fill out certain documents of Ecuador Volunteer Foundation, which will send them promptly.

After you apply

Once you have applied and have place on a project, a staff member will contact you by msn, skype or phone to guide you through the pre-departure process, questions that you have related with the volunteer job, obtaining a visa, providing tips, and more.

Steps to follow:

1. Purchase the airline ticket.
2. Get travel insurance for the time they go to participate in our projects.
3. Get a Police Disclosure or Police Record (Certificate of NO criminal history).
4. Send the Ecuador Volunteer Foundation documents filled with pertinent information.
5. Verify the achievement of certain vaccines and other supply you as Yellow Fever, Hepatitis A & B, Diphtheria, Typhoid). We recommend getting the yellow fever vaccine and malaria pills as a precaution.
6. Get medical certificate.
7. Fill out the Final Form that is on our website.
8. In the case of non-Hispanic speaker must plan a Spanish course before to start the project.
9. Do a Spanish test to check your knowledge of the language.
10. Check if you need a visa* to enter the country.

* Obtain a volunteer visa 12-VII if you’re staying in Ecuador for more than 6 months (90 days).
